System overview

The ADAS 4D Radar is a next-generation automotive radar that measures not only distance, velocity, and azimuth but also elevation, creating a four-dimensional representation of the environment. Using advanced antenna arrays and intelligent signal processing, it reliably detects and classifies vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and stationary or moving obstacles — even in rain, fog, snow, and darkness. Compared with conventional radar it offers much higher spatial and angular resolution and tracks many targets simultaneously. It supports ACC, AEB, collision avoidance, lane-change assist, and autonomous driving, and fuses with cameras and lidar for a more accurate environmental understanding.

Key advantages

Adds elevation to distance, velocity, and azimuth

Reliable detection in rain, fog, snow, and darkness

Higher spatial and angular resolution than legacy radar

Simultaneous multi-target tracking and classification

Technical profile

Capabilities and technical values are program-dependent and must be confirmed against the applicable OEM requirements, vehicle architecture and validation plan.

Problems it solves

  • Solves the low elevation resolution of conventional radar.
  • Maintains perception when cameras struggle in poor weather.
  • Feeds richer object data into ACC, AEB, and autonomous stacks.

Typical applications

  • ADAS suites needing robust all-weather perception.
  • Autonomous platforms fusing radar with camera and lidar.
  • Programs for ACC, AEB, and lane-change assist.
