LiDARLiDAR
Laser-based 3D distance sensing for dense point-cloud perception and autonomous driving.
Standards
- ISO 26262 development path
- Project-defined performance
- Sensor-fusion ready
- ADAS/AD applications
System overview
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) uses laser pulses and time-of-flight measurement to build a 3D point-cloud representation of the vehicle’s surroundings. Depending on the selected sensor and program requirements, the data can support object localization, road-boundary perception, path planning, and collision-avoidance functions. LiDAR can be fused with camera and radar inputs as part of an ADAS or automated-driving perception architecture.
