ADAS Mono CameraADAS Mono Camera
Vision sensor for lane, sign, vehicle, pedestrian, and obstacle recognition.
Standards
- ISO 26262 development path
- AI object classification
- Sensor-fusion ready
- Widely adopted ADAS
System overview
The ADAS Mono Camera is a key vision sensor that uses a single digital camera with advanced image processing and AI to monitor the area ahead in real time. It accurately detects and classifies lane markings, traffic signs and lights, vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and obstacles, providing critical input for LDW, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, AEB, and ACC. Thanks to its low cost, compact size, and low power consumption, it is one of the most widely adopted ADAS sensors, and combining its data with radar and lidar through sensor fusion further improves perception accuracy and reliability.
Single-camera perception with AI image processing
Detects lanes, signs, lights, vehicles, and pedestrians
Feeds LDW, LKA, TSR, AEB, and ACC functions
Low cost, compact, and low power consumption
Technical profile
Capabilities and technical values are program-dependent and must be confirmed against the applicable OEM requirements, vehicle architecture and validation plan.
Problems it solves
- Solves the need for affordable, compact forward perception.
- Provides semantic recognition of signs, lanes, and road users.
- Boosts accuracy when fused with radar and lidar data.
Typical applications
- Entry and mid-tier ADAS suites needing vision perception.
- Platforms combining camera with radar for sensor fusion.
- Programs for lane, sign, and object-based assistance.
